While looking for a place to help me reattach a pendulum on an old family heirloom I ran across Heritage Clocks. They had great reviews so I called. Not only did Michael answer my call right away but he had me come to his place that afternoon and fixed it on the spot. He was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. Reached out to Michael at Heritage Clocks on a Wednesday, and he contacted me later that same day. We messaged and he stated rather than me replacing my Pendulum, he could look at the pendulum hook for my grandfather clock and possibly fix it. I took it to him that Saturday, and in less than 2 hours, he fabricated a new part, attached the new part, and now the repaired Pendulum assembly and clock are up and running smoothly!! Michael was an amazing help with my 25-year-old Howard-Miller grandfather clock. Two of the chime rods were broken and he had the same chime rods (used from an old chime block) and replaced the broken ones. Since I removed and remounted the chime block myself, he instructed me as to how to adjust the hammers and the sound is as if brand new. He is the best!

I brought a mantle clock to Michael, and it was in really rough shape. The wooden frame was falling apart, and the clock had not worked since at least 1995 when I acquired it. Michael took one look at it, and within 30 seconds he knew

a) an estimated age (built between 1890-1910)

b) exactly what was wrong with it (excluding the broken frame)

c) how the previous repairman had botched an attempted repair (circa 2006)

Michael machined his own parts, fixed the clock, restored the wooden frame, AND even made a key for me. He did all this very far ahead of schedule and for a very reasonable price. I would venture to say that there are not many people in this world who are as good at what they do as Michael and his clock repair. If you have any issues of any kind with literally any kind of clock, this should be your first, last, and only stop. He’ll tell you himself: all it takes is a little time. You will not be disappointed.

For several years I have been bringing my grandmother's priceless antique clocks to Michael for major repair, very complicated refurbishing, cleaning, and restoration. Michael is the consummate professional with a warm, kind, and patient demeanor. He is also very sweet and respectful to my grandmother when he visits our home. He is extremely knowledgeable, experienced, and has many very impressive certifications. 

 The clocks I bring him are from the 1800s to early 1900s, most of which my friends try to tell me are irreparable. After Michael does his "magic" on them, they are amazed! "We purchased a used grandfather clock and needed it moved to our home; Heritage Clocks to the rescue!! The owners showed at the house from where the clock was being moved, packed it up (which takes time to carefully remove the pendulum and all the other parts), got to our home and had the clock oiled, cleaned and set up again all within about two hours!

The couple worked together like "clockwork" with such expertise, and as they did so, my husband and I were given detailed descriptions of how the clock runs and how to continue to take good care of it. They have a wonderful background story - I could have sat down and shared a pot of coffee with them.

"Michael Pfielschiefter, owner or operator of Heritage Clocks came out on a Sunday morning to repair our Ridgeway Grandfather clock, which had stopped working about 3 to 4 years ago. My wife had given up on it and suggested we donate it, but we had paid a lot for it, even back in the early '90s. Michael was meticulous, careful and you could see his 41 years of experience as he worked---he is a true master craftsman. After about an hour of detailed, unrushed work, he was able to get it going as well as taking care of a lot of other detailed issues I wasn't even aware of. Plus charge was very reasonable, especially for a Sunday. Highly, highly recommended!"
